Badminton Bag : What is it?

Badminton bags are bags used to carry badminton rackets, and usually other equipment such as shuttlecocks and nets. They are rounded at one end and tapered at the other, roughly matching the shape of a racket. Badminton bags can carry one to eight rackets, depending on the style and design. Many also have separate compartments for shuttlecocks.

Types of Badminton Bags

Kinds of Badminton Bags include the following:

Over-the-shoulder badminton bags

Over-the-shoulder badminton bags are slim, lightweight bags with a long strap slung behind one shoulder. They can carry one or two rackets. Some have compartments on the outside or on the strap for shuttlecocks.

Duffel badminton bags

Duffel bags are large tote-style bags with compartments for several rackets. They can carry up to eight rackets, and most have zippered sections at the sides for accessories like shoes and clothes. Not all duffel bags are tapered. Some are rectangular and cylindrical, resembling ordinary sports bags.

Choosing Badminton Bags (Buying tips)

Capacity. Look for badminton bags that can carry all your rackets, preferably with a little extra room for new rackets. Make sure your rackets can fit comfortably into the compartments. There should be at least a one-inch clearance from the tip of the racket to the walls of the bag.

Portability. Choose a badminton bag that you can carry around easily. If you will be driving to your venue, choose a bag that you can secure to the car's roof or will fit into the trunk. Look for bags with cushioned handles for easier carrying.
